Hey John, this is Greg Houston. I met you at AKA Speedway. I am the one who had the clone motor for a couple of weekends. I was wondering if you are thinking about taking the lo206 to Firebird and run it in the Challenge class? I am very interested in how this package works out there.

Hi Greg,
I have a big front driver for the Noram clutch if you want to give it a shot. They race stock Animal at the big tracks in the midwest so it should be pretty similar.
Give me a call.
Thanks,
John

John, I appreciate the offer, but I don't have the cash for the entry fee this weekend. Heck at this time, I don't even ahve a chassis. I sold all my oval stuff (don't care for the direction of the club at this time). My interest is in the future. I always was interested in running at PKRA, but could never afford a tag kart and at 240 lbs I would never be competetive in a KT100.

Hi Greg, Yeah, that first Firebird race with the Pro Autosports membership is a real challenge, especially for a budget minded racer. Their fees are totally in line for the big car crowd but most karters just aren't used to paying that much to race. It seems like there are quite a few of us who weigh 240lbs, from what I understand they're running the LO206 class at 390lbs in SoCal so I think that's about the right weight once we get a competitive class. If there's enough little guys they can have their own group or maybe we'll just make them run a restrictor If you haven't already you should make your way over to the PKRA forum and vote for the LO206 as a state championship class. pkra.com/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=1492&posts=3&start=1Thanks, John
